With winter on its way it’s definitely time to reorganise the wardrobe, so why not include some vintage clothing in your winter wardrobe. One of the most essential pieces of winter clothing is obviously the jacket and there are so many vintage jacket styles to choose from. However, the most popular vintage style is the faux fur coat which is ideal for keeping out the winter weather. Another popular style which is suited to slightly warmer winter days is the blazer with both University Boater blazers and double breasted blazers from the eighties.
As well as coats winter clothing wardrobes should also contain all the necessary winter accessories including scarves, hats and gloves. In terms of styles, scarves are mainly patterned and silk but there are also University scarves which are typically made of heavy wool perfect for keeping warm. There are also ladies leather gloves which are both plain and patterned as well as berets and cosy faux fur caps which are designed to make sure you look good and fight off the winter weather.
Other accessories which are useful for winter include umbrellas and water proof leather bags which can withstand heavy snow and rain. Although all these things should form a winter wardrobe, it should also reflect the season’s cheer and there are a number of magical vintage jumpers with Winter and Christmas themes. These jumpers usually feature kitsch Christmas images as well as children’s characters and are perfect for layering and bringing a smile to everyone’s face.
